1. Day: Arrival
2. Day: 245Km/ Sofia – Batshkovo monastery- Pamporovo
After breakfast sightseeing tour of Sofia, featuring the Alexander Newski Golden-Domed Cathedral, the 4-th century St. Georges church and the treasure of the National Museum of history, including the famous thracian gold. Departure to Pamporovo. On the way visiting the Batshkovo monastery.
3. Day: 270Km/ Pamporovo – Perperikon – Tatul - Plovdiv
After breakfast departure to the holy city of Perperikon. This ensemble is situated on a hill and includes a Palace from the 5 c./4c. BC, an fortified settlement and a temple. It is supposed that this was the main city of the ruler Teres an his son Sytalcos. Visit the Thracian tomb and sanctuary near village of Tatul – burial place of the legendary Orpheus. Departure to Plovdiv. Overnight and Dinner.
4. Day: 200Km/ Plovdiv – Starosel – Kazanlak – Kmetovzi
After breakfast sight seeing of the city, including the old quarter, the Ethnographic museum, the Icon museum and the Roman Amphi-Theatre. Departure to the village of Starosel. This sanctuary is believed by archaeologists to have served as important religious site for Thracians dating from the 5.c./4.c. BC. In August 2000 an enormous temple tomb of what is believed to be a prominent Thracian ruler was discovered here. Departure to Kazanlak – visit the famous Thracian tomb with unique wall paintings and the Valley of the Thracian Kings. Overnight and dinner in Kmetovzi village.
5. Day: 215Km/ Kmetovzi –Etara – Sokolovski monastery - Shumen
After breakfast sight seeing of the open-air museum Etara. Visiting the beautiful Sokolowski monastery and departure to Shoumen. Dinner and overnight.
6. Day: 335 Km/ Shumen – Madara – Sveshtari – Veliko Tarnovo
After breakfast sight seeing of the famous Madara bareliefe and excursion to the famous Thracian Temple in Sveshtari. Departure to Veliko Tarnovo. Dinner and overnight in the hotel.
7. Day: 250Km/ Veliko Tarnovo – Arbanassi – Sofia
After breakfast sight seeing of the old Bulgarian capital city, featuring its numerous museums and archaeological sites and a breathtaking view over this picturesque town from the Holy hill. Departure to Arbanassi – a famous Bulgarian museum town. Austere houses that resemble minor fortresses on the outside, with high walls and heavy gates,iron grids and secret hiding places. The oldest of the Arbanassi’s five churches is The Birth Christ (1637-1649) is a genuine art gallery with over 3500 stunningly realistic figures and Biblical scenes, painted by unknown artists throughout the ages. Departure to Sofia. Dinner and overnight.
